As I wrote about in Warrior Goddess Trainingmany years ago I was part of a small group of women who traveled to the pyramids of Teotihuacan, Mexico, following a vision of connecting with the female ancestors of this sacred heart of the Toltec path. The journey was pure magic, culminating in a blessed miracle atop the pyramid of the sun.

We stood at the top of the pyramid in a circle, a small group of women praying and chanting for the healing of the planet’s waters and people. We held a small golden chalice filled with water in our hands, and our voices and hearts melded together, bringing tears to many of our eyes at the beauty of sisterhood and connection. When we opened our eyes we found we were completely surrounded by women, men, and children praying with us. They began to reach out to reverently touch us, to pass us jewelry to bless with the water, even to pass us their babies to bless! We spent the next hour acting as priestesses: hugging, blessing with water, and sharing our love with everyone around us, many of whom had tears streaming down their faces as we did.

For the past several years we continue to feel the pull back to the pyramids, and know that it is vital to bring women back to both drink from the sacred energetic well of Teo and to bring our nourishment and love to the land.

The Dreaming House

Welcome to The Dreaming House, where traditional family hospitality still graces the grounds.

We will stay at The Dreaming House, a beautiful retreat center adjacent to the pyramids, run by Alberto and Veronica, dear friends and wise persons. Alberto grew up roaming the pyramids and will grace us with his art, sculpture, and shamanic wisdom. The Dreaming House sits on an acre of powerful ground that contains a labyrinth and a Temazcal, a sound chamber similar to Native American sweat lodges. Veronica and other family members cook the meals, all incredible and delicious! (vegan and other food requirements no problem.)

I wanted to thank you for your very gentle, professional, and experienced guidance on our trip to Teo. I got more than I had INTENDED, no doubt due to your foresight and love.” ~ CM, California

“The energy of Teo is palpable and wondrous. Ancestors presence was felt, and it seemed easier to communicate with them than usual. San Sebastian and Utomba were just lovely, with friendly responses from those who lived there. I felt very much at home, safe with people who tried their best to understand and accommodate me.

The leadership of Will, Judith, and HeatherAsh, plus the energy of the Pyramids and our group, facilitated a shift within that is still with me a month later, and feels permanent.

The Dreaming House, Alberto and staff cared for us extremely well, in a magnificently beautiful setting. I hope to return. I would advise anyone to jump at the chance for this experience. ~ Patricia Varney, Mental Health Care Manager
