Journey to the pyramids

WARRIOR GODDESS JOURNEY TO MEXICO

As I wrote about in Warrior Goddess Training, many years ago I was part of a small group of women who traveled to the pyramids of Teotihuacan, Mexico, following a vision of connecting with the female ancestors of this sacred heart of the Toltec path. The journey was pure magic, culminating in a blessed miracle atop the pyramid of the sun.

We stood at the top of the pyramid in a circle, a small group of women praying and chanting for the healing of the planet’s waters and people. We held a small golden chalice filled with water in our hands, and our voices and hearts melded together, bringing tears to many of our eyes at the beauty of sisterhood and connection. When we opened our eyes we found we were completely surrounded by women, men, and children praying with us. They began to reach out to reverently touch us, to pass us jewelry to bless with the water, even to pass us their babies to bless! We spent the next hour acting as priestesses: hugging, blessing with water, and sharing our love with everyone around us, many of whom had tears streaming down their faces as we did.
